I am a co-founder and the lead web developer of GISphere, a non-profit online platform for geographic information science scholars to share resources and opportunities since 2019.
GISphere is a voluntary project started by a group of Chinese young scholars in GIS-related fields worldwide. It is devoted to provide an online platform that shares cutting-edge information about overseas GIS-related programs in order to bridge the digital and information gap for students and early-career scholars in China. GISphere aims to strengthen the cooperation and communication between professors and students of GIS-related majors across national borders and to promote the development of GIS disciplines and industries in a general sense.
Current products include the GIS-Info website, the GISpace online community, the GISource information center, and the GISphere public account.
